The INS Working Group aims at enhancing closer coordination among MEDREG members and coordinates the dialogue on energy regulation with the European Union, international institutions, regional organisations of regulators and other bodies, working on the institutional evolution of the association.
The first INS WG meeting of 2021 was the occasion to re-assess the objectives of the group and discuss the main deliverables planned for the year. These included a study on the interlink between Good Regulatory principles and the energy transformation challenge and the production of a report on Design and implementation of regulation for the gas sector. The latest, which will be part of the activities carried out in the framework of the Support to national regulatory reforms (SNR) activities, will be conducted in cooperation with the GAS WG and to the benefit of the Jordanian Energy and Mineral Regulatory Commission (EMRC).
