Mediterranean Energy Regulatory Outlook
The Mediterranean Energy Regulatory Outlook presents an analysis of the trajectory of energy regulation in the Mediterranean Basin during the past years. The report also compares the results with the 2016 version of the Outlook. In this way, it highlights the recommendations and good practices that can be followed by the countries in the region. The main aspects where there have been improvements are in the areas of Independence, Marketing Opening and Monitoring, Unbundling, Consumer Protection and Energy Transition. In order to provide an adequate general perspective, the document also analyses the way national energy sectors, including independent entities as well as governmental bodies, manage the regulation of the sector. In this sense, MEDREG will continue to support its members on the path towards a compatible, transparent and versatile regulatory framework designed to address the new era, always aiming towards realising a future energy community of the Mediterranean.
