New report on RES market in MEDREG countries

The report provides an overview of the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) national situation in 15 MEDREG members and draws general trends in terms of the increase of RES generation, technology mix, CO2 emissions from electricity generation as well as carbon intensity.

MEDREG is making progress on disconnection procedures, dispute settlement and consumer awareness

Meeting in Vienna on 22 February 2018, MEDREG’s Consumer Working Group made progress on its disconnection procedures survey; planned its support to the Israeli gas member on domestic household gas consumer connections procedures; and worked together with the Energy Community on complaint handling, dispute settlement and consumer awareness.

The EU renews its financial support to MEDREG

MEDREG has defined new activities for the two-year period 2018-2019, enshrined in a new grant contract recently endorsed by the European Commission.
The new action plan foresees activities aimed at stimulating regional integration, improving conditions for infrastructure investment, increasing efficiency of electricity and gas supply industries while promoting renewable energies, designing a common approach on consumer protection and enhancing regulatory capacity, skills and knowledge in the region.
